The Grinder sandwich is well known in the Des Moines area. We have enjoyed it for years and wanted to bring this enjoyable sandwich to the Cedar Rapids area. We have tried to stay as traditional as possible with the sandwich but have incorporated our own homemade Marinara sauce. The grinder is a Italian sausage loose meat sandwich. We have 3 flavors to offer. The sandwich is built up with grinder meat that was cooked in our Marinara sauce on a Italian sub bun topped with melted mozzarella cheese. We do offer additional toppings. All items offered on our menu have a touch of our own reciepes. We have been friends for about 16/17 years. We both were unhappy in the jobs we had worked for and decided we were ready to work for ourselves. We came up with this idea and started working on a business plan and in a few short weeks our dreams started becoming a reality. Our family and friends have been super supportive. So far we are right on track. We hope everyone enjoys what we have to offer.
