THE DERECHO'S IMPACT ON BEXCO REXCO EQUIPMENT Equipment, Inc. WHAT HAS DERECHO We're a family. The storm only made us closer. DONE FOR US SINCE THE STORM? We at Rexco Equipment, Bobcat of Cedar Rapids, are a family. Starting out as a family owned business and now being Employee Owned we are tight. Like many families experiencing a tragic event we became an even closer family. That day we were all working away as usual, with some people heading out to lunch. Then the sirens came, and there we were witnessing It has made us an even more resilient family. It has solidified our relationships with our customers and has created brand new ones. We are stronger as a Rexco family and we are tighter with our extended family, an inland hurricane. Just like everyone else we were worried for our friends and customers out working at the time. Thankfully we were all safe. our customers. Of course we would wish derecho Then there was 55 seconds of silence after the storm. It was time to spring into action and that's exactly what we did. We were a team before, but the experience solidified and increased that team atmosphere. Our President, Josh away if we could, but as lowans we pulled together and worked hard, to rebuild. We are proud to be Rexco and honored to be part of this great community. Bottelman, jumped into action by ordering equipment he knew would be needed for storm clean up. Our sales reps and our rental reps reached out to customers to find what they needed and made it happen. No phones, no internet, no business systems, no electricity. One of our employees was able to work from home, which was outside of stormscape, working on the logistics of getting equipment in the door. Our manufacturers, Bobcat, Link-Belt and many others worked with us to procure needed equipment, while other dealers all around the country also provided equipment out of their own inventory. Our other branches pulled resources together and helped in many ways, including weekend trips to pick up equipment needed from other dealers. Our service, parts, rental, and sales teams worked 24/7 for weeks after the storm even though our own shop was in disrepair. Our customers were able to move trees out of the streets and off peoples home. We were proud to see our equipment at work Over 50 Bobcat grapple buckets came in by the truckloads in a matter of weeks putting things back to normal.
