CAREGIVER WELLNESS DAY SAVE THE Thursday, November 15, 2018 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Hotel at Kirkwood Center 7725 Kirkwood Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids Caregiver Wellness Day (CWD) serves to recognize and celebrate the impact area caregivers make within Eastern lowa. These are the heroes of our community and deserve to be acknowledged for the work they do. The Heritage Area Agency on Aging has supported CWD for 17 years, and we invite you, the caregiver, to join us for a day of information, motivation but most importantly, rejuvenation. This year's event wi feature guest keynote speakers, Mary Sharp and Rachel Kail, a mother and daughter duo, speaking on their personal experiences caregiving for a family member. There will also be a 5-person panel disussing long-term care and how to pay for it, a pamper room, therapy dogs, access to multiple resources featuring local experts along the continuum of care, and more! This FREE event is offered to all family caregivers. Breakfast and lunch are included. Free respite care is available upon request.
