Happy Birtbdhay! Dorothy was born in Grand Junction, IA. She had two older sisters and one younger. She went to school in Perry for five years, then to country school when the family moved to a farm. She graduated from high school in Boone, and enrolled at lowa State College with a major in Household Equipment. Dorothy Gee March 25 After graduation in 1947, Dorothy married Albert Gee, a young man she met at church. The couple had five children. Aleta and Jean live in San Jose, CA; David and Daniel in Cedar Rapids; and Steven in Ohio. There are seven grandchildren, two greats, and one great-great. In 1947 Albert and Dorothy bought 32 acres on the north side of Otis Rd. in Cedar Rapids where they built a new home in 1960 and established Gee Grading & Excavating Co. Albert died in 1994.
