About

The Duane Arnold Solar project is an innovative solar and energy storage project proposed for Linn County, Iowa. The first two phases of the project will have a capacity of up to 200 megawatts of clean, renewable, American-made energy, paired with 75 megawatts of battery energy storage. The Duane Arnold Solar project is more than solar panels and batteries - it represents a significant capital investment in Iowa. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community. The project is being developed and built by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun. Upon completion, Alliant Energy will own and operate the project to serve its customers.
