Facility Maintenance Manager VBCH has a full-time Facility Maintenance Manager position available. The primary responsibility is to develop, implement and administer a program to maintain hospital buildings, grounds and equipment; and to assure adequacy of all utilities and their distribution systems. Must have strong general maintenance, plumbing, electrical and HVAC background. Certification in each of these areas is preferred. This position reviews and recommends approval of plans for construction, advises on structural changes, additions or modifications to buildings and acts as a liaison between contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers. This position administers the preventive maintenance program for the Hospital. Other responsibilities include managing compliance with life safety codes, hazardous materials and participating in emergency preparedness. Weekend and daily call for plant operations and ambulance will be shared with other staff members.
