Henry County Planning and Zoning Commission Vacancy Henry County is now accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission. In order to qualify for this position, you must live within the unincorporated area of Henry County lowa and meet the requirements of lowa Codes 335.11 and 69.16A. (Both members must be female). Planning and Zoning Commission The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of five members and makes recommendations concerning re-zonings and text amendments to the Board of Supervisors. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Board of Adjustment for certain conditional uses as directed by the zoning ordinance. The Commission meets as needed, usually on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Henry County Courthouse.
