HENRY COUNTY VETERANS AFFAIRS Roger Pittsenbarger is the Director of Veterans Affairs. When you come into the Henry County Veterans Service Office you will be assisted by our County Veteran Service Officer. The VSO has a compassionate understanding of the issues which confront veterans, widows, and dependents. The County VSO knows the extent, the meaning and the application of laws that have been passed by the U.S. Congress in the interests of veterans and their dependents. They also know the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Veterans Affairs to clarify and implement those laws. The County vsO will apply specialized knowledge to the needs of every individual veteran or other beneficiary who comes to the office for assistance. Henry County, along with all the counties in lowa is required to have a Nationally Certified VSO by the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers to assist you with your veteran's benefits. Henry County Veterans Affairs also offers general assistance for qualified veterans residing in Henry County.
