About

In 1942, Conrad Klimisch and John Noel were working for a large commercial and residential insulation contractor in Milwaukee. During this same period of time and into the late 1970's, Johns-Manville was the dominate manufacturer of building materials and pre-eminent in fiber technology, especially rock wool and fiberglass. So when the representatives of Johns-Manville asked John and Conrad to move to Wausau and start a Home Insulation Company, which was at that time a JM trademark, they moved quickly to take the opportunity.
