Adult and Public Services Librarian The Washington Free Public Library is looking for an energetic and tech- savvy reader to step into our Adult and Public Services Librarian position. Our successful candidate will enjoy helping readers find their next favorite book, teaching classes on how to use our digital collection, organizing in-library and outreach programs for adults, and connecting with community partners, along with regular library desk work. Candidates should have strong customer service and technology skills, be able to multitask, and should love working with the public. Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week including evenings. Requires weekend hours (rotating Saturdays). Education and Experience: Combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, and is equivalent to a Master Degree in Library Science preferred. Ability to get Public Library Staff Certification from the State Library of lowa required. Starting Pay Range: $12.50-$15.50 per hour depending on experience and education and excellent benefits through the City of Washington. Come join our team of passionate community-centered librarians!
