SolidWaste Cedar Rapids Lin County Agency NO Cardy GE THANK YOU! The Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency wants to thank everyone for their efforts to recover from the derecho storm disaster: The linemen working tirelessly to restore power. Municipal workers, law enforcement and fire fighters from Cedar Rapids, Marion, Linn County, Hiawatha, Mount Vernon, Robins, Center Point, Lisbon, Fairfax, Ely, Central City, Springville, Palo, Walker, Alburnett, Coggon, Bertram, Prairieburg, working around the clock to clear streets, cleanup debris and make their communities safe. Our elected officials at the city, county, state and federal levels, seeking assistance, providing resources and information to help the recovery effort. The National Guard, haulers and contractors getting debris cleaned up and moved. The volunteers helping cleanup, providing food, aid and comfort where it is needed. Solid Waste Agency staff and board of directors, many who are dealing with their own extensive damage but still coming to work to help the recovery effort move forward. And of course, every resident, every family, dealing with damage, power loss and the uncertainty of what is next. Our community has taken a devastating blow, but our community is strong! Linn County will recover together! The Solid Waste Agency is here to help. SolidWaste Cedar Rapids Lin County Agency NO Cardy GE THANK YOU!
