I will actually vote to cut wasteful spending and reduce the debt. My husband is a Navy vet. We have 3 children adopted through foster care. We have a daughter who is a special education behavior teacher in a public elementary school here in the 2nd district, and another daughter that works at a pediatric mental health facility in Des Moines. I know the challenges being faced in these areas. I know how underfunded and under-supported they are. I will put America's needs first! I won't just fall in line behind the Washington political establishment desperate to keep their power and control. As an Independent candidate, I am not beholden to a political party or their platform. I am not in this to build a political career, so I don't have to worry about "going along" just to get a leadership position within the party. I will be in the best position to truly represent everyone in the 2nd district.
