A successful candidate for this critical Deputy Superintendent role is a tenacious and innovative problem solver who understands the needs of today's adjudicated youth, nurtures collaborative relationships and responds with appropriate urgency. This position will work with the Institutional Superintendent to provide leadership and management to a team of direct care, administrative and clinical professionals, and will be responsible to represent the facility and the department with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, the legislature, juvenile justice, law enforcement and policy makers. The Deputy Superintendent in conjunction with the Institutional Superintendent provides direction and oversight to the entire facility. This position is responsible for facility operations, staffing, budget, assisting with licensing/accreditation compliance, safety and well-being of all students and staff, etc. - you will want to have a career at the STS.
